Obituary of Janet Enlow

Janet Enlow, 78, of Wadsworth, passed away May 20, 2015 at Highland Park Hospital. Janet was born Alice Janet Speak December 22 1936 in Rose Hill Virginia to John Patton and Daisy McCreary Speak. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Howard Wesley Enlow who passed away June 9, 2009. Janet is also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ramon Farrell Speak, sister in law Carolyn Speak, and brother in law Dan Fee. Janet was a loving mother to her sons, Bryan Wesley Enlow of the home, David Lyle Enlow and wife Elizabeth of Gurnee. In addition to her sons, Janet is also survived by her sister Esther Speak Fee of Mt. Airy MD, her sister Sue Speak Shrader and husband Don Shrader of Mt. Airy NC. and numerous nephews and nieces. Janet retired from the Lake County Health Department. She has enjoyed her retirement spending time gardening and growing beautiful flowers, sharing her love of cooking with her family and friends, and has always been a great animal lover. She greatly enjoyed the loving comfort of her cat K.C. and her Lhasa Poo, Joy, who passed away earlier this year. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Pastor Doug Carlson, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. A visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
