Obituary of Estelle Leith

Estelle Leith, 95, of Winthrop Harbor, passed away peacefully September 24, 2015 at her home. Estelle was born July 12, 1920 in Aberdeen, MS. Missionary work was very dear to her heart, and she was very active with the Church of the Nazarene in Waukegan. Estelle also enjoyed gardening and quilting. She is survived by her children, Steve R. (Phyllis) Leith of Blue River, WI, and Jeannie Sparks of Winthrop Harbor; five grandchildren, Luther (Elizabeth) Leith, Steve E. (Chellee) Leith, Christopher Leith, John Sparks Jr., and Rebecca (William) Richardson; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Leith; parents, John and Eliza Smitherman; and eleven siblings. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 3132 N. McAree Road, Waukegan.
