Obituary of Brenda Marie Powers

Brenda Marie Powers, 49, of Kenosha, WI died on February 1, 2016 at United Health System in Kenosha, WI. Brenda was born November 19, 1966 in Waukegan, IL. She grew up in Waukegan attending First United Methodist Church until she moved to Kenosha 13 years ago. She attended Mother of God School, graduated from Waukegan West High School, attended Gateway Technical College and took court reporting classes in Madison, WI. She enjoyed fishing and boating with her family in Fremont, WI and loved her 3 dogs, Doobie, Ruby and Momo. Brenda is survived by her husband, Bob Powers; children, Alec, Carly, and Eric Machak, all of Kenosha, WI; mother, Marjorie Marshall of Winthrop Harbor, IL; brother, Bill (Leandra) Marshall and their children Austen and Lauren of Winthrop Harbor, IL; sister-in-law, Tina M.F.N. Powers of Kenosha, WI; aunts, Candy Quist of Stevens Point, and Randy Cenni of Pleasant Prairie, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William J. Marshall; and grandparents, Martin and Olga King. A visitation will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, IL, and again on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorial donations to Safe Harbor Humane Society in Kenosha, WI or Shriners Hospitals for Children in Chicago, IL would be appreciated.
