Obituary of Ellen C. Petreman

Ellen C. Petreman (nee Vogler), 93, of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away at home Saturday, September 10, 2016. Ellen was born October 9, 1922 to the late Charles and Sigrid Vogler in Kenosha, WI. She married James M. Petreman Sr. on May 3, 1941. He predeceased her on March 31, 2008. They were married 67 years. Ellen enjoyed golfing and bowling, but most of all she enjoyed her family and was an excellent homemaker. She is survived by three children Karen (Gary) Knurr of Kenosha, WI, James (Neda) Petreman of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and David (Julie) Petreman of Bellbrook, OH; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and one cousin Lois Vogler Walker. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2016, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 17th, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Langley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Cemetery, Kenosha, WI. Memorial donations to Camp Zion, a ministry of Christ Community Church of Zion, has been suggested.
