Obituary of Ruby T. Wiegman

Ruby T. Wiegman, 94, of Beach Park, IL passed peacefully into the Lord’s arms on Monday, October 17, 2016 with her daughter at her side after a brief time at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Ruby was born July 4, 1922 on a farm near Neillsville, WI. She met her late husband, Clarence L. Wiegman of Colby, WI while he was in the Civil Conservation Corp working in the Neillsville area. She left Neillsville at a young age to seek employment first in Milwaukee and later Highland Park. She and Clarence were married in November of 1946 and settled in this area. She was a longtime member of Yorkhouse United Methodist Church, had been involved in the Waukegan Masonic Lodge Lady’s Auxiliary, and in the 1960's was actively involved with the Beach Park Band Boosters. Ruby also enjoyed reading, gardening, and knitting. Ruby was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Her family was her life and meant everything to her. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include her daughter Judy Ann (Roger Smith) Anderson of Winthrop Harbor, IL; and siblings Gladys King of Redgranite, WI, Arlene Runge of Neillsville, WI, and Raymond Kopp of Humbird, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; one brother George Kopp; and her parents George and Bernice Kopp. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gesche Funeral Home, 4 S Grand Ave., Neillsville, WI 54456 where a visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in her memory has been suggested. Congdon Funeral Home, Zion, IL, in charge of local arrangements.
