Obituary of Carole Ann Rittenhouse

Carole Rittenhouse, 80, long-time Zion resident, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2017 at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Kenosha, WI. Carole was born April 5, 1937 in East St. Louis, IL. She worked at Solo Cup for many years.  Carole loved life, dancing, music, outdoor events, spending time with family, traveling, and going to the casino.  

Carole is survived by her lifetime loving companion, Dale Dullin; beloved mother of 3 children, Don Rittenhouse, Sheryl Lupo, and Amy Rittenhouse; grandchildren, Amanda Rittenhouse, Michele Bolke, Kristy (Terry) Nixon, Kevin Akins, and Daryk Gunderson; great-grandchildren, Anthony Kalinowski, Sierra Bolke, Joey Rivelli, and Terry Nixon III; siblings Bill (Jean) Goodwin, Shirley Nevenner, Richard (Mary) Goodwin, and Jerry (Cheryl) Goodwin; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother Margie (nee St. John) Goodwin; father Lyman Goodwin; sisters, Juanita Paust and Dovie Iler; and  brother, Danny Goodwin.  Brother in-laws, Ralph Paust, Lowell Iler, Joe Nevenner, and sister in-law Janet Goodwin.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.
