Obituary of Saretha Watts

Saretha DoeMay Watts passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday July 9th at The Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, IL. She fought a good fight since her diagnosis in January 2017. She was born June 6, 1961 in Zion, IL to Betty Jean Smith and Julius Wayne Mitchell. She is survived by her boyfriend of 21 years Stuart Bowler, her daughters that she loved dearly Monica Gilliam, Tupelo, MS, Malisha Swanson, Ingleside, IL. Her step children Tonia Traux (John), Kenosha, WI, Stuart J Bowler (Nikki), Hubert, North Carolina. Her grandsons Neal Gilliam, Tupelo, MS, Logan Swanson, Ingleside, IL, Mason and Craig Wende, Kenosha, WI. Her sisters Brenda Gunter (Phil), Tupelo, MS, Jeri Reasor, Zion, IL. Her brother Anthony Mitchell, Loretta, TN as well as ten nieces that she absolutely adored and a host of great nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents Betty and Wayne Mitchell and her sister Donna Mitchell. Her services will be held July 13,2017 at the Well church 9001 17th Ave. Kenosha, WI 53143 12:30-1:30 flowers would be appreciated and may be sent to the well church.

The most amazing woman, she overcame so many obstacles that most people would've backed down from or gave up. She always kept a positive attitude regardless of the situation. A beautiful soul. She kept a smile on her face & put one on ours. She had unfailing love without limit, ability to soothe every hurt, on duty, unselfishly, every hour, every day. Open arms & open heart, with enduring patience & inner strength she gave so much for everyone she loved. Our comforter, encourager, appreciating all, forgiving all. We love you with all of our heart & soul.
