Obituary of Elaine Iris Bigelow

Elaine Iris Bigelow (nee Arvidson), 73, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Hospice Alliance in Kenosha, WI after a diagnosis of cancer in February 2017. She fought a good fight.

She was born January 31, 1944 in Waukegan, IL.

Survivors include her beloved children, Shana Archinal, Mindy (Jonathan) Triplett, Melissa Bigelow, and Deryk (Marnie) Bigelow; grandchildren, Heather Dohrn, Megan Dohrn, Breanna Brown, Caleb Brown, Nathaniel Triplett, Alexander Triplett, Jamie Bigelow, John Bigelow, and Michael Bigelow; great-grandchild Abel Cuate-Dohrn; sister, Catherine (Ronald) Allen; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Bigelow; son, John Jr.; parents, Ernest and Irene Arvidson; and sister, Dorothy M. Brauck.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley Free Methodist Church, 3601 N. Lewis Ave., Waukegan, IL. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
