Obituary of Timothy Joseph Kristan

Timothy Joseph “TJ” Kristan, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 20, 2017 with his family by his side. TJ was born May 9, 1978 to Joe and Judie (Ryan) Kristan. He grew up in Beach Park, IL and worked at the family business, J&J Powder Coating since he was 20.

He enjoyed watching baseball with his sons and CSI crime shows, but he truly enjoyed watching the Food Network. He was a big fan of auto racing, especially sprint car racing and was #1 fan of his twin brother, Brian, always cheering from turn 4. TJ loved riding his Harley with his Dad, Brian and many friends.

He had an amazing sense of humor with a smile and laugh that will always be remembered. No matter what happened TJ always said, “It’s all good.”

TJ is survived by his parents; Joe & Judie, his son; Anthony Joseph “AJ”, his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Miller, and their son, Jackson Reed, his twin brother Brian (Annalisa) and their children; Karissa and Kennedi, special aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, uncles; Steve Buckner and Kevin Kristan, aunt; Kathy Ryan and an infant cousin Gavyn Bruce.

A visitation will be held for TJ at the Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL on Friday September 29, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday September 30, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. Patrick’s Church, 15000 W Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.  Please visit the online guest book at www.congdonfuneralhome.com.

TJ’s final act of kindness was to give organ and tissue donation through the Gift of Hope Donor Program.
