Obituary of Dennis A. Daisy

Dennis A. Daisy, 76, of Fairfield Glade, TN, and formerly of Zion, IL, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2017 with his family by his side.

Dennis was born in Waukegan, IL on September 11, 1941 the son of  George Daisy and Florence (Hotham) Daisy.  He was raised in Zion, IL, and graduated from Zion-Benton  High School with the class of 1959. He was a member of the Zion Sportsman’s Club, and the Zion Moose Club.  Dennis began his working career at Johnson Motors Corp in Waukegan and retired from OMC in 1989 .  He lived for and loved his family & friends, bowling, fishing, golf, and was an intense Chicago Bears fan. He and his wife raised their family in the little town of Russell, IL, and vacationed at a cabin on big Lake Chetek in Birchwood, WI. He and Dorothy retired to Fairfield Glade, TN in 1990 where they built their dream home and Dennis went to work running the Marina on lake Dartmore, a dream job of his love of boats, fishing and friends. His retirement career then took him to The Four Seasons Golf course where he managed the course and again his dream job he said, love of Golf and friends.


Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 55yrs, Dorothy (nee Langer); his children, Dennis R. (Laurie) Daisy, and Deborah Barclay;  four grandchildren Mary, Margaret, Anne, and Emily; four sisters and one brother, Georgine (Harold) Larson, Sara Mason, Lynn (Jim) Green, Donald (Mary) Daisy, and Joyce Madrid.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence Daisy;  in-laws, Roman and Evelyn Langer; and Robert Langer.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
