On Thursday, February 1st, 2018 Bobby Lee Ward passed away at the age of 74. Bobby will be forever remembered by his wife Bonnie of 51 years, his two children Tracey (Craig) and Christopher (Barb), three grandchildren Anna, Erika, & Chase, along with his great grandson Landon.

Bobby was the youngest out of four siblings: Ruth, Katherine (predeceased), and James. He was the son of Lee & Mary Ward.

Bobby proudly served in The United States Marine Corps and had been involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a retired Zion Police Officer of 34 years. One of his most memorable experiences while serving as a Police Officer was being appointed Zion’s first canine handler.

Bobby was born in Knoxville, Tennessee but had lived most of his life in Illinois. He enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers, the Chicago White Sox & Bears. Bobby was a history buff and loved listening / singing to “The Oldies but Goodies”.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor and remember Bobby on Friday, February 9, 2018 at “It’s All Good Coffee & Espresso” located at 2780 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL. from 4pm-8pm. No Flowers per the request of the family.
