Obituary of Aaron Franklin Watkins

Aaron Franklin Watkins went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 12, 2018.  He was 65.

Aaron served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the VA after 29 years of faithful service.  Aaron loved his job, doing crossword puzzles, playing guitar and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Aaron is survived by his loving wife, Dina; four children, Angie (Luis) Ponce de Leon, Jesse Diaz, Aliya (Todd) Bristow and Anthony; grandchildren, Jaden, Jordan, Jerry, Julian, Janiya, Chris, Elliot, Donovin, Zeke, Wyatt and Jesse; sisters, Earlene (James) Percy, Medora Watkins and Florence Garrison; brothers, Eugene and Allan Watkins; special nieces, Vanessa London and Gee Gee Watkins and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family would be appreciated.
