Scott Walter Schneider, 55 of Kennerdell, PA and formerly of Beach Park, IL., died on Monday, December 17, 2012 in Costa Rica due to an accidental drowning.
Scott was born on November 22, 1957 in Waukegan, IL. He was a graduate of Carmel High School and Northern Illinois University. He moved to Pennsylvania in 1987 and joined Advanced Monobloc Corporation currently called CCL Container, Aerosol Division, as the Director of Technical Services, bringing to the company a broad knowledge of aerosol containers, formulations, filling techniques and barrier packaging. He has been key to the development of the aluminum piston container. He was the past chairperson of several Consumer Speciality Products (CSPA) Technical committees. He also was an entrepreneur who ran a recreational vehicle park and a hunting club. Scott loved life and people. He was an adventurer who enjoyed new experiences.
He is survived by his mother, Dr. Marilynn Schneider, of Beach Park, IL., brother Gregory Schneider, of Zion, IL, his special friend, Karen Balezentis of Kennerdell, PA. uncle, Dr. Joseph C. Novak (Lillian), and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Walter H. Schneider and his grandparents Dr. Joseph C. Novak Sr., Annabelle Novak, Herman Schneider and Anna Schneider.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
