Antonette Ida Gamberale (nee Lentine), age 100, of Zion, IL, died May 27, 2018 in Algoma, WI.
Antonette was born August 25, 1917 in Waukegan, IL to Joseph and Pauline Lentine. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt, and was a dear friend to many. She was the best Italian cook and cookie baker, we will truly miss all of the wonderful ravioli, homemade noodles, and cannoli that she would make for us every holiday. Antonette loved music and traveling with her family; she was the best Mom in the world who adored all of her family. She loved the Lord and is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
Antonette is survived by her children, Mary Moore and Judith (John) Ortlieb; daughter-in-law, Barbara Gamberale; grandchildren, Sheri Donaldson, Janice (Jim) Stanislawski, Kim (Tom) Boffer, John (Teri Piotrowski) Zorzy, Shelly Zorzy, Audra (Jeff) Baker, John (Heather) Ortlieb; fifteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward V. Gamberale; son, Edward G. Gamberale; son-in-law, Dennis Moore; great-granddaughters, Jacqueline and Jennifer Stanislawski; siblings, Dominick (Anna) Lentine, Josephine (Paul) Zupec, Elizabeth (Michael) Gont, John (Laura) Lentine, and Blanche (Joe) Lupino; her parents; and her father and mother-in-law, Guy and Josephine (nee Zarlenga) Gamberale.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be private for the family.
