Donald Pocklington

Donald W. Pocklington, 56, of Winthrop Harbor, died suddenly on Thursday, June 14, 2007. Don was born January 31, 1951, in Waukegan, IL. He married Cynthia "Cindy" Eschenbauch on August 8, 1980 in Waukegan. Don was a loving husband and father, and was an artist by nature. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Cindy; son, Daniel Pocklington and daughter, Amber Pocklington, both of Winthrop Harbor; mother, Lorraine A. Pocklington of Zion, IL; brother, Charles (Tina) Pocklington of Winthrop Harbor; sister-in-law, Louise Pocklington of Winthrop Harbor; niece Shilo Pocklington, and nephews, Ian and Ethan "Buck" Pocklington. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore D. Pocklington; and brother, Theodore D. Pocklington, JR. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. . Interment will be private for the family. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m., Monday, until the time of services at the funeral home.
