Edward J. Kluba, 92, of Beach Park, Illinois, died on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Holy Family Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Des Plaines, Illinois.
Edward was born July 27, 1914 in Hermansville, Michigan and moved to Waukegan in 1946. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the Army. Edward retired in 1976 after 25 years at Fansteel Corporation in North Chicago. He was also a past member of Zion-Benton Moose and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his two sons, Lawrence Kluba of Prospect Heights, Illinois and Richard (Michelle) Kluba of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandsons Steven (Samantha) Kluba of Denver, Colorado and Michael Kluba of Chicago, Illinois; two great-grandchildren Jacob and Carissa Kluba; and one sister Pauline Steiner of Sarasota, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife Olivine in 1993; daughter-in-law Beverly Kluba in 1999; his parents Joseph and Mary Kluba; and twelve siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitations will be held on Thursday, February 1st, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home and again on Friday, February 2nd , from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
