Franklin Glovier Flesher, 74, of Zion, IL went to be with his heavenly Father Sunday, June 25, 2017 at home, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born May 9, 1943 in Highland County, VA and graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in Fishersville, VA. Frank married his beloved wife, Helen Lotts on February 14, 1964 at the Verona Evangelical United Brethren Church, now known as the Verona United Methodist Church. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Winthrop Harbor, IL. Before retiring, he was a carpenter and general contractor, with a love for hunting, fishing, travel and country music. Frank was a witty and generous man who will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife, Helen (Lotts) Flesher; daughter, Donna (Sandeep) Arkh; son, Franklin Tobias Flesher; sister-in-law, Diane Flesher; and beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Lockridge; sister, Betty Bottenfield; brothers, David Flesher and John Flesher; and brother-in-law, Clarence Bottenfield.
Following cremation, Frank expressed his sincere wish for everyone to rejoice as he completed his earthly journey and is now in the presence of Jesus. A homegoing service will take place Saturday, July 8 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, 3001 9th St, Winthrop Harbor, IL. Friends may greet the family from 10:00am until the time of service at the church. In place of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church in Frank’s name.
