Harold Brown

1934 — October 26, 2017

Harold was born October 23, 1934, in Elton, WI to Martha and Marion Brown.  On January 4, 1957, he married the love of his life, Gay, and together they shared nearly 61 years of marriage.  He was a devoted member and founder of Journey Church, Beach Park, formerly Beach Community Church, and was instrumental in the building of several churches in Lake County.  His passion for church work and the congregations he served was only eclipsed by his love and dedication to his family.   Harold was a self-employed builder.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Marion; cherished son, Barry; and siblings, Beulah Nordbom, Jessie Brown, Lillian Place, Goldie Brown, Ollie Brown, Vesta Reau, Frida Brown, Marie Daubner and John Brown.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Journey Church-Beach Park, 12735 W Graves Avenue, Beach Park, IL 60087.
