James Robert Mallo, 66, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, formerly of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at home.
James was born September 2, 1942, in Kenosha, and was retired from the Cement Finishers Local #599. He served with the United States Marines in the early sixties and attained the rank of Lance Corporal. James loved fishing, hunting, and traveling.
Survivors include three children, Peter (Shelby Jean Eide) Mallo, Katrina (Craig) Lovick, and Sheri Parrish, all of Kenosha, WI; five grandchildren. Adam and Kyle Usinger, and Justin, Sara, and Tyler Parrish; and one great-grandchild; sister, Jeannette (Phil) Hamilton of MO; brother, Charles (Darlene) Mallo, of Phillips, WI; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Joanne Fonk of Winthrop Harbor, IL; "Momsy", Elsie Carver; step-daughters, Kelly, Tracy and Leslie; and their children .
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Russell Mallo and Doris Hull; and brother, John Mallo.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI53182.
