Norma E. Collins

Norma E. Collins, nee Jellings, passed away on April 2, 2024. She graduated from WTHS in January of 1946 and immediately began her career with Illinois Bell Telephone, beginning as a telephone switchboard operator and later advancing to become a department manager in the business office. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling to see the sights, both domestic and foreign. She spent the last years residing comfortably at Rolling Hills, now Allure.

She was preceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald, on September 12, 2002 and her son, Donald, Jr. on June 20,2009.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise D. Collins of Park City and her sister Erma Arlene Bostian of Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Road Zion, Illinois 60099. Followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Acension Cemetery in Libertyville, Illinois.
