Agnes M. Carman (nee Finlay), 94, died on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Born March 25, 1923 in Highland Park, Illinois, Agnes was a long-time resident of Lake County and member of Our Lady of Humility in Beach Park.  She graduated from St. Therese School of Nursing and joined the Army Nurse Corps in 1944 to serve during WWII, receiving an honorable discharge in 1946 as a 1st Lieutenant.  Agnes worked for many years in the VA system in North Chicago, retiring in 1979.

Dear sister to James (Marianne) Finlay and Francis Finlay (deceased).  Loving aunt to David (Nancy) Finlay, Kelly Miller, Brian (Lindsay) Finlay, Stacie (Nicholas) Chakiris. Great aunt to Nicholas Finlay, Sabrina Vecchio, Finlay Chakiris and McKenna Finlay.

Preceded in death by her husband, Lester Carman.

Known as “Aunt Aggie” to relatives and most who knew her.

Visitation, Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Services will be held at Our Lady of Humility, 10655 Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, on Friday, May 26 at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at North Shore Garden of Memories, 1801 Green Bay Road, North Chicago.
