Arthur J. Polzin

Arthur J. Polzin, 81, of Zion, IL died on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. Arthur was born September 21, 1934 in Sheboygan Falls, WI. He served 28 years in the United States Navy, retiring in 1981 as Chief Radioman. Arthur was an avid family man, golfer and fisherman who used humor in everything he did. Survivors include his wife of 51 years Evelyn; children Tonya (fiancé Richard Wasicki) Wallace of Mundelein, IL and Arthur J. (Connie) Polzin Jr. of Florida; three grandchildren Allison Wallace, Joseph Wallace, and Jessica Polzin; one sister Shirley (Bundy) Rosenthal of WI; and his faithful K-9 companion “Snickers”. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Arthur and Celia Polzin; and by three sisters. Visitation will be Friday, September 2, 2016, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
