Audrey Pearl Ford

October 22, 1928 — April 17, 2025

Audrey Pearl Ford, age 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, April 17, 2025 in New Palestine, Indiana. She was born October 22, 1928 to Pearl (LaBelle) Bourdeau and Lucien Bourdeau in Waukegan, IL. Audrey graduated from Zion Benton High School in 1946.

Audrey was a member of Grace Missionary Church in Zion, Illinois and Lakeview Church in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. Audrey’s talents were widespread. She was an accomplished vocalist and sang as a soloist with the Zion Symphony. In later years she sang in her church choirs. She loved sewing and painting figurines.

She was well traveled, living with her husband Virgil in Oceanside, California; Springfield, Missouri; Grayslake, Illinois and later with her son Brian in Las Vegas. She then lived with her daughter Cindy in Indiana until she passed away.

She was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Virgil Ford, her sister Delores Rich (Glenn), sons-in-law Dennis Hamilton and Michael Reierson and former husband of many years Donald Fiala.

She is survived by her brother Donald Bourdeau (Sharon);children Brian Fiala (Theresa), Judy Hamilton and Cindy Reierson; grandchildren Joel Reierson (Courtney), Eric Reierson, Leah Burton (Mike), Kevin Hamilton (Ronda), Matthew Hamilton (Emily), Heather Good (Brian), Anne Jajko(Chris); and nineteen great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends that will greatly miss her.

A service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, Il. Interment will follow.
