Betty Erickson

Betty A. Erickson (Meyer) 72, of Beach Park, IL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 11, 2021 after a four year long battle with cancer. She was born on December 26, 1948 the daughter of Willard (Hida) Meyer. Betty worked for Abbott Labs in 2003 before she retired after working there for twenty-three years. She loved all kinds of flowers and her passion and love for them showed in her wonderful garden. Later she started growing and caring for Orchids. Betty had two bulldogs Butch and Jax who always made her laugh. Betty leaves behind her loving husband of fifty-one years Charles; daughter, Melissa A. Cantu, son Kelly (Jennifer) Erickson; grandchildren, Tyler Cantu, Olivia Erickson, Emma Erickson; brothers Fred (Linda) Meyer, Richard (Jan) Meyer; special family member Tina Lambert; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandson Mykel Erickson, parents, sister, brother, and niece. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Congdon Funeral Home located at 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099 followed by interment at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Zion, IL.
