Beverly Ann Gleason

1937 — June 11, 2017

Beverly Ann (Whitehill) Gleason, 79, went to be with her Savior on June 11, 2017.  She was born on July 29, 1937 in Montpelier, Vermont, to Albert and Marjorie Whitehill.  Beverly graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy and went on to study engineering at the University of Vermont. In 1960, she married Stanley Gleason, a Vermont farmer.  They moved to Chicago and then to Zion, Illinois, where they raised four children. Beverly enjoyed teaching Sunday School and working as a preschool teacher. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, cross-stitch, sports, and spending time with her family.  Beverly demonstrated a life of thankfulness, contentment, and trust in God.

She is survived by her brother, Clifford Whitehill; her daughter, Mary Briggs (Jim); her sons: David Gleason (Chongsuk), Mark Gleason (Kim), and Tim Gleason (Suzy); and six grandchildren: Jennifer Angeloni (Matthew), James Gleason, Tim Gleason, Ben Gleason, Jack Gleason, and Madison Gleason.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 11:00 am until 12:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL 60099.  A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Please visit the online guest book at www.congdonfuneralhome.com.
