Billie Jean "Jeannie" Holm

Billie Jean “Jeannie” Holm of Waukegan, Illinois passed away January 22, 2025 in Park Ridge, Illinois. She was born January 1, 1948 in Stanley, Wisconsin to parents Bill and Pauline Grogan.

Billie was the heart of the family. She married her husband, Edward Holm, on June 16, 1973 in Waukegan, Illinois and raised two girls, Amy and Abbey, to be independent and caring individuals. Her strength and compassion is reflected in them every day.

Bille looked forward to holiday dinners, summer cookouts and game nights - any reason to spend time with her extended family. She was an avid reader, reading many books at once, enjoyed crafting and couldn’t wait to start planting her flowers in the Spring.

Bille worked for Olson Oil and Beach Park Freight Lines. She retired from Bridgeview Bank in 2016.

Billie is survived by her husband, Edward Holm of Waukegan; children, Amy Holm of Winthrop Harbor, and Abbey Holm of Los Angeles; her Great Dane, Joe and grand-dog, Bama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Pauline Grogan; and sisters, Tanya Walker and Paulette Pilman.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday January 31, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois 60099.
