Brenda Greenwood

On December 30th, 1967 God blessed William and Pauletta Scott with a precious baby girl Brenda.  Brenda was born in Chicago, IL but spent most of her life in the Waukegan / North Chicago, IL area. Brenda attended Chicago and Waukegan public schools. Brenda worked in food service and in home supportive service for the elderly doing what she enjoyed most cooking and caring for people.

On July 19, 2018, Brenda passed away from natural causes. Brenda will be rejoicing with her father William Scott SR, mother Pauletta Kizer Scott, and brother Leroy Greenwood Jr. whom proceeded her in death.

Brenda was dedicated to her family and treated everyone with love and kindness.

Brenda leaves to cherish her three wonderful children whom she loved dearly. Bernard Jedkins Jr. of Kenosha, WI, Ashley (Marcus) Lurry of Memphis, TN and Avery Greenwood of Byhalia, MS. Three very special grandchildren William “bubba” Jedkins, Mariyah Lurry, and Morgan Lurry. The love of her life her  lifelong partner Russell Robinson of North Chicago, IL. Brenda also leaves five sisters Barbara Kizer of Byhalia, MS, Linda and Beverly Greenwood of Chicago, IL, Jackie (Paul) Santana of Zion, IL, and Shirley Scott of Chicago, IL; Seven brothers, Mims and Andrew Greenwood of Byhalia, MS, Michael (Dorothy) Greenwood of Chicago, IL, Arthur (Tammi) Greenwood of Kenosha, WI, William Scott Jr of North Chicago, IL, Quincy Scott of Waukegan, IL and Phanon Greenwood of Zion, IL. A very special Aunt Ola Mae Houston of Panola, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A visitation will be held at the Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, on Saturday July 28th from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.. Interment will be held privately.
