Bruce G. Bolling
Bruce G. Bolling, 82, of Waukegan, died at Condell Hospital in Libertyville on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 following a long illness.
Bruce was born May 27, 1925 in Clayton, North Carolina and came to this area in 1948 from Amory, Mississippi. He retired in 1990 from ITT Bell & Gosset in Morton Grove, Illinois and after that worked with Pinkerton Security at OMC in Waukegan. He was also a Veteran of WWII having served with the United States Navy and he belonged to V.F.W. For the past several years Bruce has been leading a bible study at Wesley Free Methodist Church in Beach Park.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Emolene; children Darrell (Wendy Barnes) Bolling of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Tammi (Darryl Eanos) Bolling of Grayslake, Illinois; three grandchildren Jason Bolling, Michael (Rie) Bowman and Jason Bowman; two great-grandsons Ryan and Joshua Bowman; and siblings Evelyn Danner, Elizabeth Edwards and Grover Bolling all of Clayton, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Fred and Ella Bolling.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 7, 2008, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be private for the family with interment at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville.
