Bruce Henkel

Bruce Lee Henkel, 57, of Waukegan, IL passed away on December 10, 2021. He was born on October 23, 1964 in Waukegan, IL the son of Louis and Carol (nee Heath) Henkel. Bruce graduated from Waukegan High School in the class of 1983. He worked for Aldon Corp and proudly worked his way to become a Shop Foreman for over thirty years. He enjoyed grilling and smoking meat and sharing his food with his friends at the shop. In his free time you would find Bruce enjoying his time outdoors either fishing, snowmobiling, or shooting. If he wasn't outside he was rebuilding and refurbishing new machines or playing with his beloved dog Brandy. Bruce leaves behind his siblings; Jeffery (Cynthia) Henkel, Diana Henkel, cousins, aunts, uncles; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Richard Henkel, Kenneth Henkel, and dog Sandy. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL 60099.
