Buckley C. "Buck" Andrews, 77, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, died peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at home with his family at his side.
He was born October 24, 1929 in Pryor, Oklahoma and moved to this area in 1948. He served for three years with the United States Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church of Beach Park. He retired on January 1, 1990 after 44 years from Johns-Manville. He was also a member of the J-M Club of Waukegan where he served on the board of the J-M Credit Union for several years. More than anything else however, "Bucks" family remained his center of attention.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Nancy Andrews; one son Kurt (Julie) Andrews of Winthrop Harbor; four grandchildren Carrie (Steve) Espinosa, Zachary, and Buckley and Westin Andrews; and two great-grandchildren Steven and Noah Espinosa.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Denise; two brothers Art & Joe Andrews; and his parents Oceola and Ella Mae Andrews.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial Donations to either the Arthritis Foundation or the Diabetes Association have been suggested.
