Carol A. Lallaman, 80, of Zion, IL died August 17, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged in Kenosha, WI.
Carol was born May 17, 1936 in Kenosha, WI, she was a long-time resident of Winthrop Harbor, IL, then lived at Carmel House in Zion, IL for many years. She married James Lallaman on May 23, 1959. Carol worked for A.L. Hansen Manufacturing in Waukegan, IL. She loved being outside, whether it was pulling weeds, tending to the garden, or taking care of the animals on the farm. She loved to travel and spent many years touring the United States in an RV with her long-time friend and companion, Joe. Her friends and family will miss her smile and witty humor. Carol was loved by all who met her.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Patty) Lallaman of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Skeeter (Bob) Harju of Purcellville, VA, and Debbie (Greg) Townsley of Winthrop Harbor, IL; grandchildren, Ryan and Robby Harju, Michael and Jimmy Lallaman, Maria Carlson, and Ashton Townsley; one great-grandchild; and a sister Nancy (Ed) Uttech of Kenosha, WI.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lallaman; father and mother, Lawrence and Hilda Nelson; brother Buddy Nelson; and long time companion, Joseph Brooks.
