Carole Marie Archer, 85, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois passed away March 28, 2024, in Mt Pleasant, Wisconsin.
Carole was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 3, 1938 and moved to Western Springs, Illinois while in elementary school. Her family relocated to a farm in Rogers, Arkansas, where she remained until half-way through her senior year of high school. Carole graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1956.
Carole completed some college and held various administrative positions until meeting her future husband, Jerald Archer at the Methodist church where she was the president of the College and Career class.
Carole had the opportunity to live in many different places including, Oceanside, California; Manhattan, Kansas; Quantico, Virginia; Virginia Beach, Virginia; Keflavik, Iceland; Altamonte Springs, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; Beach Park, Illinois; and Winthrop Harbor, Illinois while following her husband in his career as a Navy dentist.
Carole accepted Christ in October of 1964 while stationed in California, and lived faithfully until her death, serving as a Sunday School teacher and bookkeeper in many of her subsequent church homes.
Carole is survived by her children, David (Leslie) Archer and Christine (Rodney) Stare; and grandchildren Carlie and Paige Stare.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jerald Joe Archer; parents, Robert and Corinne Callaghan; and brother, Robert Callaghan.
A visitation will be held at 3:00 pm on April 6th, 2024 at Victory Baptist Church (3401 Springbrook Rd, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin 53158) followed by a celebration of life at 4:00 pm. A private burial service will be held on April 8 at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, Illinois.
