Carolyn Johnson

Carolyn Dianna Johnson, 65, of Zion, IL, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Saturday, August 28, 2021. She was born on October 4, 1955, in Jeffersonville, IN to Walter (Margaret Berkley) C. Johnson Sr. Carolyn devoted much of her time and energy to her family members. She treasured family gatherings at her home and she loved to cook for others. Carolyn is survived by her sisters: Mary Johnson, Pamela Andrade, Bessie (George) Zadler all of Zion, IL; her brother Lawrence (Tabitha) Johnson of Kenosha, WI; niece Christine Wertman who she helped raise; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she adored and they her. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Wanda Arnold and Edith Sheppard; and her brother Walter Johnson Jr. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park, IL.
