Catherine A. Hawley

Catherine "Kitty" A. Hawley, 72, of Zion, IL., passed away peacefully on September 13, 2021 at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion, surrounded by family. She was born February 14, 1949 in Munising, MI to Merle and Rita (Joncus) Beauchamp. She married Thomas Hawley on August 31, 1968 in Munising, MI. Kitty worked as a CNA for over 28 years at Libertyville Manor, Libertyville, IL. She lived her life to the fullest through simple life pleasures: spending time with family and friends, her grandchildren, and she was an avid animal lover. She is survived by her 3 children, Terri Stewart-Updegraff, Scott (Tonya) Hawley, and Michelle Hawley; 5 grandsons, Anthony Stewart, Seth Coffing, Michael Updegraff Jr., Collin Hawley, and Skyler Dill; 1 step-granddaughter, Sabrina Harrington; 4 step-grandchildren; 1 brother, David (Liz) Beauchamp; 3 sisters, Antoinette Hernandez, Cynthia Duarte, and Patti Ortiz, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Merle Beauchamp; mother, Rita (Joncus) Blankenship; and brothers, Walter Motto, Gary and Kenneth Beauchamp. A celebration of life will be held for family and close fiends at a later date.
