Cathy moved to San Diego area in the early 1980s. She worked for General Dynamics for 11 years before being hired to work at Qualcomm. It was here that Cathy found her true career home. And each summer she would so look forward to putting together and delivering back packs filled with school supplies to Brother Benno's Organization.
She loved her home and friends in Santee and was happiest when she could play tour guide to her family on their many visits. She enjoyed feeding and watching her birds and the animals around her home.
Cathy was an avid sports fan. She was a lifelong Cubs fan and looked forward to singing Go Cubs Go after each win. She also loved the Chargers, Padres and NASCAR's Jimmy Johnson. She liked to crochet lap robes for nursing home residents and Ronald McDonald house. For excitement she loved the anticipation of a big win at Barona.
Most of all Cathy loved her family and friends. And the loved was reciprocated. She had a ready smile and humorous remark for everyone.
