Charlotte Elaine Matson (nee Hanon), 84, died on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Charlotte was born May 12, 1933 in Zion and was a lifelong resident of Lake County, IL. She was a member of Lakeview Church of Zion where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and served as a leader at AWANA. She retired in 1999 from Hewitt Associates in Lincolnshire, IL.
Survivors include her children Lynn Cacioppo of Antioch, IL, Larry (Carol) Matson of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Lonna (Karl) Grom of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and Leslie (Jeff) Stanley of Kenosha, WI; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister DeeDee Montanus; and her parents Daniel Hanon and Edith Thompson (nee Douglas).
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Les Martin officiating. Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion.
