Charlotte Louise Mifflin, 90, of Zion, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan.
She was born May 3, 1919 in Zion to Charles and Annasie Mifflin. Charlotte attended and graduated from Zion Parochial Schools. She began singing with her two sisters when she was 11 years old and sang with the Mifllin Sisters for 60 years. She was passionate about her faith, the Cubs, her family, singing, and good food. Charlotte was a life-long member of Christ Community Church (CCC) in Zion and also attended Bonnie Brook Baptist Church and the Punta Gorda (Florida) Alliance Church. She was active in the Zion Passion Play and church choir. Charlotte worked for many years as a bookeeper at CCC.
Survivors include her sister, Dorothy (Phil) Wright, and her brother, Eugene (Juneve) Mifflin, both of Zion; and many nieces and nephews whom she doted on.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her sisters Margaret and Jessie Mifflin; one brother, Edward; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, with Pastors Jon Wiziarde and Ken Langley officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the Church.
