Christine Nicole Trinko, 33, of Waukesha, WI passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Christine was born October 29, 1987 at Lake Forest Hospital to Mary Marlene and Peter William Katris. She was a previous resident of Milwaukee, WI. Before moving to her current address in Waukesha. On December 3, 2016, she married Matthew Trinko at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville, IL. She previously attended Kimissis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church in Racine, and was the office manager for The Window Brothers. Christine was a graduate of Carroll University, class of 2012, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts. Christine belonged to the Carroll Player Theater & Carroll Choir where she was involved in different sorts of acting, directing and costume involvement. In February 2012, Christine directed, and acted as the costume director, for the play, “The Story of Ixta & Popo” and directed “The Bald Soprano” and one other play. During her summer in Tennessee, she also worked at the Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge as a costume coordinator, and rumor has it, she met Dolly Parton. Christine also performed in a play at College of Lake County. Her love for Disney & the performing arts embodied so much of her life. Christine is survived by her husband, Matthew Trinko; father and step-mother, Peter W. Katris and Deirdre Daly; sister, Alyssa Marie (Ryan) Abernathy, and her nephew, Aaiden Ryan Abernathy; step-sister, Megan Madigan; step-brothers, Ryan Madigan, Andrew Begay and David Begay; her mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Anthony Trinko; sister-in-law, Nicole Trinko; paternal grandmother, Elaine Katris; aunt and uncle, Betty and Atto Ebarle; uncle, Nick Katris; godparents, Marge and Gust Xenos; cousins, Brittany Buddell, Megan Ebarle, Nicole Katris, Paula Katris and Vasilis Katris; and many loving aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Marlene Katris; paternal grandfather, William E. Katris; paternal aunt, Paula Katris; maternal grandmother, Rose Howard; and step-brother, Jerome Begay. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1400 N. O’Plaine Rd., Libertyville, IL 60048. Interment will be private and reserved for close family/relatives & friends.
