Clare Thivierge-Coleman

Clare "Nana" Thivierge-Coleman, 96, of Antioch, IL passed away on September 18, 2024.

Clare was born on August 25, 1928 in Concord, MA, the daughter of Augustine Julius, and Mary (Murphy) Walther. Shortly after marrying her husband Ronald Thivierge on May 24, 1947 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in West Concord, MA, they moved to Waukegan, IL. She retired from St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan, IL. She enjoyed taking care of her family and friends, and was a social butterfly. Clare loved going for walks, and donated a lot of her time working at food pantries, and volunteering at many local churches pantries including St. Peters Church.

She is survived by her son, Donald N. Thivierge; grandchildren, Ronald (Nicole) Thivierge II, Bonnie-Skye Thivierge-Motley (Kevin Drury), Gary Thivierge (Rebecca Kemp). Brittany Thivierge, Lisa Dydo (Mike), Rob (Lori) Christman, Matthew (Nicole) Christman; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Clare is preceded in death by her children, Patricia A. Thivierge, Ronald E. Thivierge Jr., and Andre E. Thivierge; first husband Ronald E. Thivierge; second husband, Joseph Coleman; parents; and siblings, Joseph, Meltha, Francis, twin sister Celine, Henrietta, Leonard, and Bernard. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099. A graveside service will be on October 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Northshore Garden of Memories located in North Chicago, IL.
