Clarence E. Bouchard, 98, of Zion, died on Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.
Clarence was born February 22, 1910 in Madison, Wisconsin. He came to Zion in his late 20's and shortly thereafter became a trainee at the Zion Faith Homes where he met his wife, the late Eleanor. He retired from the Zion Post Office at the age of 65. Clarence remained a devoted member of the Zion Faith Homes over the years.
Survivors include three sons, James Bouchard of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, John (Donna) Bouchard of Ottawa, Illinois and Paul (Penny) Bouchard of Beach Park; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Hruska, Melissa (Brian) Hurlbut, Joshua Bouchard and Christopher (Ashley) Bouchard; and one great-granddaughter, Anna Hruska.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor, who died one week earlier on September 21, 2008; two brothers, Edward Bouchard and Elmer (and the late Elizabeth) Bouchard; three sisters, Mary (and the late Clifton) Nelson, Gladys (and the late Hans) Eggers and Dorothy (and the late Harry) Klein; and his parents, Elmer and Mary (nee Sorenson) Bouchard.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Rev. David Leopold and Rev. Rose Simon of the Zion Faith Homes officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial donations to Zion Faith Homes have been suggested.
