Claudette Marie Boulay-Griffin

Claudette Marie Boulay-Griffin, 80, of Zion, IL, passed away on June 18, 2023.

Claudette was born June 27, 1942 in Sudbury, Canada to Joseph and Alma Boulay.  She attended Mooseheart Academy in Batavia, IL.  After moving from Chicago to Zion she attended Our Lady of Humility Church, was self-employed and worked as a caretaker at the Shiloh House in Zion.  Claudette won 16 state championship medals for Mooseheart Majorettes.  She loved all things Christmas and had a year-round holiday tree.  She loved watching wild birds, drinking tea and collecting tea cups and saucers and teapots.  Claudette was known for her Christmas cookies.

She is survived by her sons, Todd (Mary) Griffin, and Chris (Michelle) Griffin; grandchildren, Grant Griffin and Lauren (Ian) Griffin-McKee; brother, Ray (Marcie) Boulay; sister-in-law, Penny Boulay; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Tate; brothers Alfred Boulay and Richard Boulay; and her parents.

A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.  A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
