Clifford Del Brauck, 90, passed away on September 29, 2010 at the Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, South Carolina.
He was born July 8, 1920 in Waukegan. Cliff retired to South Carolina in 1988 after working for Lamkin Leather in Chicago as a Mechanical Engineer. Cliff was inventive, brilliant, and met each moment with a smile. With his sense of adventure and soaring spirit he enjoyed piloting as a hobby. He also served in the Army Airforce during WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth (nee Lemar) Brauck; children, Sandy (Joseph) Zradicka, Sharon (Chuck) Lowrance, Blaine (Phyllis) Brauck, Brenda (Jim) LoMonaco, Cindy Brauck and Karen Brauck; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Calvin (Sammye) Hangebrauck; sister Lois Seymour Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Brauck; his son, David Brauck; parents, Del and Esther Hangebrauck; and sister and brother-in-law, Pearl and Walter Rundquist.
A memorial service for the family will be private.
