Clint Davis, 74, of Zion, died on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at home following a lengthy illness. Clint was born November 20, 1932 in Zion. He was a long-time member of Christ Community Church and was currently attending Lakeview Church. He owned and operated Clint Davis Construction Inc. of Zion. He served his country for eight years with the United States Naval Reserve and was also a memeber of the Zion Jay Cees. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara (nee McCulloch) Davis; children Doug (Judy) Davis of Zion, Susan (Michael) Wimmer of Bristol, Wisconsin, Jeff (Linda) Davis of Brookfield, Wisconsin and Sharon (Leigh) Harrison of Champlin, Minnesota; grandchildren Rick Davis, Julie Scott, Jackie & Kristy Davis, Stephen & Daniel Wimmer, Sarah & Abbey Davis, and Garrett, John & Trenton Harrison; one great-grandson Jared Scott; and his sister Eleanor Davis of Zion. He was preceded in death by his grandson John Davis; one sister Caroline Folkers; and his parents Charles and Esther Davis. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, 2006 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 14th, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Church, 19th and Sheridan Road, Zion, with Pastor Les Martin officiating. Memorial donations to either Camp Zion, a ministry of Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, IL 60099, or, ZEMA, P.O.Box 727, Zion, IL 60099 have been suggested.
