Consolacion Dagdag Aban, 95, of Zion, Illinois, passed away August 16, 2019.
Consolacion was born on June 27, 1924 in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, in the Philippines. She was a member at Living Word Christian Church in Zion, Illinois.
Affectionately known by all as “Mommy Cion”, she lived her professional life as a dedicated, resourceful, and innovative schoolteacher. She was the most loving mother and grandmother, who sacrificed and gave so much to her family. Selfless and generous, Mommy Cion touched the lives of countless relatives and friends.
Mommy Cion is survived by her children, Edgar (Lourdes) Almuete), Nenita (Joselito) Maningat, Danilo (Maricel) Roy, Minerva (Enrico) Zamora, Armida (Romeo) Tabuena; her siblings, Perlito Dagdag, and Brigida Ped; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Eliseo M. Aban, U.S. Army; her daughter, Teresita Aban Encomienda; and her son-in-law, Jaunito Encomienda.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. , with a Memorial Service at 4:00 P.M. at Living Word Christian Church, located 1821 27th Street, Zion, Illinois 60099
