Deborah Graves

Deborah Graves, 70, of Waukegan, IL, unexpectedly passed away October 11, 2024. She was born October 3, 1954.

Debbie graduated from Waukegan High School and attended College of Lake County. She began working in the cafeteria at Waukegan West High School before she working at Cirquon Technologies/Laser Age, then retired early from Baxter.

She attended Grace Missionary Church in Zion, IL and belonged to a bible study, senior bowling group, and Foster Grandparent Program through the school district, where she listened to children say their alphabet, count and read stories. Debbie loved spending time at Six Flags, bowling, going to estate/garage sales, and having garage sales. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Debbie is survived by her step siblings, Randy Skorpinski of Las Vegas; and Patricia Skorpinski of Texas; daughter, Jennie (Mike) Taibl of Kenosha; son, Rick (Alyssa) Black of Lindenhurst; granddaughters, Lia Ballard, Charlotte Black, and grandson, Logan Taibl; who will forever miss their Grandma.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Skorpinski, of Waukegan; father, Frank Skorpinski of Las Vegas; sister, Diane Skorpinski of Waukegan; brother, Paul Rost of Waukegan; and her grandparents, Ellen Skorpinski, and Joe and Antoinette Shear.

Service to be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Congdon Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Visitation to begin at 10:00. Interment to take place at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
