Debra Stanonik

Debra Stanonik, 68, of Waukegan, IL passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021. Debra was born February 22, 1953 in Waukegan, IL to Helen Stanonik and Donald Welch. She was a previous resident of Pine Terrace in Waukegan and worked at North Point Achievement Center in Zion. She loved all animals and traveling with her beloved mother. They enjoyed trips to Florida where she could swim and feel the sun on her face. Debra participated in the Special Olympics and loved playing Bocce Ball with her team from Pine Terrace. Debra is survived by cousins, Kris Stanonik, Marty Stanonik and his children, Zack Stanonik and Sydney Jankowski, Heather (Justin Spino) Stanonik and their children Zander Spino and Gavin Spino; aunt, Cindy Stanonik Harvey; and second cousins, Jake Harvey, Rob Harvey, Jim Stanonik, John Stanonik, Joe Stanonik and Jeff Stanonik. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Stanonik; father, Donald Welch; uncle, Marty Stanonik; and aunt, Sue Stanonik. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private for the family.
