Dell Luise Urban (nee, Scheuber), 72, of Wadsworth, IL, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014, at home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born July 25, 1942, in Evanston, IL, and was an avid equestrian. Dell loved all her animals, but horses were her passion. Dell and her friends originated the Wadsworth Wranglers. She performed throughout the Midwest, racing quarter horses, and as a trick rider in rodeos. Dell
was extremely proud of her two children, Lonnie and Dell, "Wheezer". She went to elementary school in the one room schoolhouse that is now the Wadsworth Village Hall and graduated from Warren Township High School in 1960. She will be greatly missed by all her friends at the Shanty and Duck Inn.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Edward Urban; son, Lonnie (Maureen) Urban; daughter, Dell Urban, (friend, Tina Gatz); grandson, Devin Urban; sister-in-law, Susie Martin; best friends, Cheryl Bushing, Chris Stavinoga, Darlene Schaefer, and Carol Petranek.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Dell Luis Scheuber; and brother, Norman "Snook" Scheuber.
Visitations will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, and again on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is private for the family. Memorial donations are suggested Advocate Hospice.
