Dennis "Denny" Moore

1937 — June 2, 2015

Dennis "Denny" Moore, 78, of Waukegan, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Denny was born March 27, 1937, in Chicago, and was raised in Morton Grove. He married Mary Gamberale on May 23, 1993. He and Mary owned Gifts & Things, a traveling gift shop, and traveled extensively for work and leisure. Denny was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed motorcycling. He was a member of Holy Cross Church in Lake Villa and Grace Episcopal Church in Weslaco, Texas. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Mary Moore; children, Beth (Dan) Jones of Columbus, OH, Kevin Moore of Beach Park, Kathy (Bill) Skaggs of Beach Park, and Patrick (Christy) Moore of Pocatello, Idaho; step-children, Sheri (Dave) Donaldson of Rochester, MN, Jan (Jim) Stanislawski of Gurnee, John (Teri) Zorzy of Beach Park, and Shelly Zorzy of Waukegan; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a large extended family and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Violette Moore. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, with Father Eric Raskopf of Holy Cross Church, officiating. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
