Donald W. Peterson, Sr.
Don Peterson, 76, passed away at home 4/11/18. He was born the son of Harvey and Peggy (Vernezze) Peterson on 2/22/42.
He married his wife, Ruth (Falstad) on 8/13/69 in Las Vegas, NV. Don retired from Jewel Food Store in 2005, after a total of 44 years. Through the years, he enjoyed golf, bowling, and trips to Disney World and Las Vegas. He was also skilled at watercolor paintings. But mostly, he was a good man and is going to be missed by many who knew him.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, Carol, and a brother Kenneth.
He is survived by his wife, his sister, Pat (Dave) Dutton, his 2 sons, David (LeAnn) Peterson,
and Don Jr.(Donna) Peterson. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
At the request of family, there will be no visitation or service. Instead, please think of him and donate to a favorite charity or somehow pay a good deed forward. Please, no flowers or donations to the family.
Deepest gratitude to the staff of Avalon Hospice, Tabath Arriens, Joyce Stuttle, and Kathy and Rick Nichols, and his good friend, Dr. Mike Thompson for all the love and support given to Don.We could not have made the journey without them. There are many others who called and checked to offer help and we were so blessed from each of them.
