Dorothy L Shields

Dorothy Lucille (Ditter) Shields passed away peacefully with Hospice Alliance on July 3, 2021. Dorothy was born in Kenosha WI on August 16, 1922 to Philip and Harriet Ditter. Dorothy worked at Sears Roebuck for over 30 years, where she met many life long friends, including Richard Wilkening. Over the years Dorothy loved to dance, bowl and travel with friends and family. She was also an excellent seamstress. Dorothy was the mother of Charles (Debra) Shields and James (Nancy) Shields. She loved all of her grandchildren: Scott Shields, Christy (Daniel) Shields Argeles, Sharon (John) Reynolds and Tracy Shields. Five great grandchildren: Aubrey Brooks, John Argeles, Marc Brooks, James Reynolds and Alex Argeles, and one great great grandchild: Aubriella King Brooks. Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Lee Shields, her parents and four siblings. We would like to thank Dorothy’s great niece, Eileen Palmen for all her love, help and support that she gave to Dorothy in her time of need. We would also like to thank the Hospice Alliance for all their comfort and support in Dorothy’s final days. Due to Dorothy’s wishes there will not be a visitation.
